BCE Institute has adopted Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as the project management methodology for implementing our projects. The methodology considers the size of the project portfolio, the complexity and duration of the project, the current operations processes, and systems to deliver high quality projects and meet stakeholders’ expectations.
We have evaluated the current state of our methodology and approach, evaluated risks based on our previous and current major projects and put together lessons learned and customized the methodology and approach for the training and development within the context of our country.

Skills Development and Training
BCEI has been involved in the provision of training in credit-bearing and non-credit bearing skills programmes and qualifications since 2003. The company has a staff complement of 30 full-time employees, 25 contractors, over 10 key strategic advisors including subject matter experts (SMEs) in the agriculture environment, more than 200 training and project management consultants drawn from former government senior management, the corporate sector and tertiary institutions.
We provide a good mix of people who have experience as industry experts and technocrats. Over and above this, BCEI has access to more than 200 registered Facilitators, Assessors and Moderators whose services are contracted on an ad hoc basis to assist in the institute’s assessment of the learner achievements.
Monitoring and Evaluation
We have widely recognised expertise in planning, monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment, and learning. We combine our deeply rooted understanding of the African context with our extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative monitoring and evaluation (M&E) methods to assess progress and measure value creation.
